Hotch Potch is an exhibition project initiated by a group of young Norwegian artists that wish to create and develop projects where Norwegian art can be exposed abroad in collaboration with international colleagues.

The initiators of the project are Norwegian artists Javier Barrios, Petter Garaas, Christian Kolverud and Marius Engstrøm.
We believe that the act of collaboration and collectiveness is a powerful starting point for creation. Through combining and sharing our ideas and network, we wish to develop projects and shows where the Norwegian art scene can be exposed for new audiences in collaboration with international colleagues. The idea of what can be done out of the means we have is important to us, and there is no specific artistic agenda driving the project. The focus is rather on having the freedom and possibility to create different shows and happenings, and to follow ideas and possibilities that occur while working with the project. In many ways, the Hotch Potch project reflects very much upon its meaning of the word; “ a jumble mixture of anything”.

The concepts first exhibition launches in London on October 13th where we have invited the artist and curator Magnus Vadtvedt to co/curate the show
