Hotchpotch London is an exhibition about change and disruption. It is about connecting different works of art into new constellations, by the act and the specificity in the situations that evolve around the location of the space and the frictions in the crowd. It has therefore no fixed meaning. The meanings are rather created by the chances that might arise during the time span of setting up the show..
The concept is to make something unknown, something that has yet to happen. To make transitions and to be in a liquid state at all times. I am choosing artist I believe in; political, subversive, formal, poetic, trashy, play station playing, Google surfing, bohemians and models. They may or may not have a common subject matter and they may or may not know each other ahead. I am rather focusing on the frictions and the energies in the specific situation. It is about making new letters and new poems.
The outlook of the show will be between chaos and order, trash and minimalism. On view, you will see sculptures, installations, paintings, photos, objects, nude girls, nude guys, hillbilly hipsters, and whatever else that might occur. During the period of the exhibition there will be a series of performances, concerts and happenings taking place in the
space.
